Montana Wedding DJ Season Update: 28 Weddings Down, 16 to Go (and One Wild Storm)

It’s hard to believe we’re already this deep into the 2025 wedding season! With 28 weddings behind me and 16 still ahead, it’s been a whirlwind of unforgettable celebrations, long road trips, and incredible dance floors all across Montana. As a full-time wedding DJ in Montana, I’ve had the honor of traveling from Missoula to Flathead Lake and beyond, helping couples bring their dream weddings to life.

The days have been long, sleep has been short, and the miles on my DJ van are adding up fast—but I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Well, this is going to be one I remember forever…

After more than 10 years in the wedding and event industry, I thought I’d seen everything. But last Saturday changed that. I was working a beautiful outdoor wedding under a huge tent in East Missoula when I got word that a major storm was moving in quickly. I spoke with the couple, and we made the smart call to end the reception about 45 minutes early for everyone’s safety.

Right as I made the announcement on the mic, the skies opened up. Heavy rain came pouring down, lightning started flashing, and winds hit 65+ mph. Over 200 guests rushed to their vehicles—and just as I was packing up, the entire tent collapsed.

It came crashing down around me. A metal pole even struck me while I was holding onto my equipment trying to protect it. Two feet to the right, and I might not be writing this blog right now. Thankfully, I came out with just a few bruises and no major injuries (yes, I did a couple concussion checks to be sure). My DJ equipment survived the storm surprisingly well, but I’ll be upgrading most of it soon—because when you're a professional wedding DJ, peace of mind is everything.

Looking Ahead to August in Flathead

August is going to be another jam-packed month, with most of my gigs up in the Flathead Lake and Glacier region—one of the most stunning areas to DJ in all of Montana. I’m excited to keep making magic happen for couples on their special day, whether it’s under a starry sky, inside a rustic barn, or (hopefully) under a safer tent.

To every couple who has trusted me with their big day—thank you. Being your Montana wedding DJ is more than just playing music. It’s about setting the tone, reading the room, and creating unforgettable memories through every beat.

If you're planning your 2026 wedding and are looking for an experienced, reliable, and high-energy DJ for your Montana celebration, let’s chat. Dates are filling up fast, and I’d love to be part of your love story.

Let’s keep the party going.
